Auto Body Repair

Auto Body Repair in Lincoln, Nebraska

Family-owned, quality-driven autobody repair since 1971.

Auto body damage, whether it’s a dented bumper, scraped fender, or a door that just doesn’t look right anymore, can be frustrating. Even small damage can make your vehicle feel less safe, less reliable, or simply not like the vehicle you know. And when it’s tied to an accident, that stress only grows.

At Wenzl’s Collision Center, we believe every driver deserves a repair experience that feels calm, clear, and honest. For more than 50 years, our family has helped Lincoln-area drivers restore their vehicles with the kind of care you can only get from a true hometown shop.

A Family-Owned Approach to Auto Body Repair

Wenzl’s Collision Center was founded by Donald Wenzl in 1971, and today the shop is run by his son Marty and daughter-in-law Kelli. They’re both in the shop every day answering questions, greeting customers, and making sure each repair meets the standards their family has upheld for generations.
For you, that means your vehicle isn’t handed off to a large team you’ll never meet. You get a personal, approachable experience from people who care about doing the job right. Customers often describe us as friendly, informative, and down-to-earth, and that’s exactly how we want you to feel when you walk through our door.

Our Auto Body Repair Process: Clear, Organized, and Communicated

We know customers feel better when they understand what’s happening with their vehicle. So we’ve built a process that keeps you informed every step of the way:
Estimate the damage

  • Stop in for an estimate, schedule an appointment, or start with an online photo estimate.

Pre-order parts & schedule repairs

  • We order parts upfront whenever possible to shorten your repair time.

Check-in and pre-wash

  • When your vehicle arrives for repairs, we wash it and perform a pre-scan to check for related diagnostic codes.

Disassembly and repair planning

  • We fully inspect the damaged area, identify any hidden issues, and create a complete repair plan. We call you with updates before moving forward.

Body repair and part replacement

  • Damaged panels are repaired or replaced according to OEM procedures. New parts are mirror-matched and test-fitted for accuracy.

Painting & refinishing

  • Repaired areas are prepped, painted, and blended to match your vehicle’s original finish using a modern waterborne paint system and digital color matching.

Reassembly & final checks

  • Components are aligned and reinstalled. ADAS calibrations, glass work, and mechanical repairs are completed.

Detailing & delivery

  • Before we return your keys, the vehicle is cleaned, road-tested when needed, and inspected through a final quality checklist.

You’ll always know what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what comes next.
